Lincoln MKX Design

The MKZ luxury sedan was the first Lincoln to emulate this nomenclature, being nearly emulated by the MKX. Management at Lincoln originally proclaimed the MKX with a "Mark Eks" pronunciation in the midst of the 2006 car exhibition circuit, but finally adapted it to the phonetic "em kay eks" unpaid to chaos observed right around center bunches and dealership personnel.


Receivable to the likeness of the MKX name, regardless of pronunciation, to the MDX name utilized by Acura for their contending luxury crossover, Honda, Acura's guardian ensemble, recorded a lawsuit in opposition to Ford in January of 2006, in the end settling the case out of court.
